Into The Woods a Success!!!
Lisa Academy’s very own Alumni Rachel Manasco played litte red riding hood in UALR’s play Into The Woods!
Rachel is a native of Alabama and in her Freshman year at UALR. She resides in Little Rock and studies voice with Diane Kesling. She participated in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition, for state of Arkansas, in the spring of 2011 and won first place in her division. She is currently a member of the UALR Concert choir and Community Chorus. She has been featured in past productions as Teresa 2 in “Four Saints in Three Acts”, as one of the Guides in “The Magic Flute” and as Hansel in “Hansel and Gretel” at UALR.

Science Olympiad

The Lisa Academy Middle School Science Olympiad Teams did an excellent job last Saturday. Team 2 won silver and bronze medals from various categories. Team 1 won the overall competition by winning first place in 15 out of 16 categories and the second place in one category. LISA Academy will represent the state of Arkansas in the National Science Olympiads in Orlando, Florida! Incredible work, Jaguars!
Into the Woods
The UALR Opera Theater will be presenting a performance entitled Into The Woods on Friday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 22, at 3 p.m. in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall. The performance will include alumni member Rachel Manaso. General Admission is $15 and for children it is $5. Admission is free for all UALR students. New Building Attracting Important People!!

Senator David Johnson visited LISA Academy on November 28, 2011. He was very impressed with the school and the new building. Our students accompanied him with the tour and presented him scientific demos. ( First Photo) Also Ms. Vickie Saviers, a State Board of Education Member and Ron Copeland from UALR came to visit the newly finished LISA Academy High School Building.

On May 17th (4:00pm) there will be a picnic at Pinacle to gather and entertain all past and present graduate students. May 18th @ 7:00pm is the 2012 Graduation.
